Biography

As an Infectious Disease Epidemiologist with a focus on HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, Dr. Patricia Kissinger has researched the syndemic of HIV, substance use and intimate partner violence among women and men, adolescents, migrant Latinos, and African Americans. She has researched sexual networks and social support as potential inhibitors and facilitators of relationship quality and STD transmission. The ultimate goal of her research is to reduce STD related health disparities.
