Biography
Jenn's work focuses on preventing interpersonal and systemic violence associated with migration, with a special interest in indigenous peoples of Central America and Mexico. Jenn has worked in advocacy and organizing with immigrants in the U.S. for nearly ten years, and has done accompaniment work in Honduras, and cultural resilience work with indigenous Maya in Mexico and Guatemala. Jenn is currently working with Dr. Catherine Burnette on health initiatives for American Indians, and on best practices for trauma treatment with survivors of torture with Dr. Charles Figley.
