Biography

Dr. Frederick Buttell's work is focused on evaluating the effectiveness of community-based batterer intervention programs (BIPs). He has published on many topics related to improving the effectiveness of BIPs including studies that focus on race, female offenders and LGBTQ offenders and victims. Dr. Buttell's latest research interests focus on improving family functioning through the elimination of domestic violence and his primary research interest is on improving the effectiveness of batterer intervention programs.
