Community and Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR)

Community and youth participatory action research places those most affected by violence at the center of the research process. This approach emphasizes co-creation, collaboration, and shared decision-making, ensuring that interventions reflect lived experience and community priorities. Faculty and projects partner with residents, youth, and local organizations to design and implement evidence-based solutions that are practical, sustainable, and meaningful for the communities they serve.
