Biography

Dr. Heather L. Storer, LMSW, is an Assistant Professor at the Tulane School of Social Work. She has worked nationally in the fields of dating and domestic violence prevention, girls’ leadership, and positive youth development. Heather’s research agenda focuses on exploring strategies to meaningfully engage youth as partners in the primary prevention of adolescent dating violence, sexual assault, and other high-risk behaviors. She is interested in infusing youth empowerment, cumulative adversity and place-based frameworks into the design and implementation of community-level approaches to dating violence prevention and adolescent health promotion.
